About Loop8: Summer of Gods

Loop8: Summer of Gods is a 2023 role-playing game developed by Sieg Games Co., Ltd. and published by XSEED Games. It released on PlayStation 4, PC (Microsoft Windows) and Xbox One.

In this original coming-of-age RPG, step into the life of Nini, a newly earthbound teen who arrives in the quaint Japanese town of Ashihara in August 1983. Explore the town, befriend its people, and face off against the Kegai in turn-based battles where the outcomes depend on the relationships you’ve built and the decisions you’ve made.

Use Nini’s special connection to the gods to reset the world, with each loop allowing Nini and his allies to relive the 8th month over and over until they get it right…or the Kegai overcome them entirely. With one month until the world ends, how will you spend each day?

Story

After the Kegai forced humanity to the brink of extinction, the survivors fled to the stars. Raised on a failed space station known as the ‘Hope’, high school student Nini returns to Earth to spend his summer in the rural Japanese town of Ashihara, one of humanity’s last remaining sanctuaries. Though Ashihara remains relatively untouched, the Kegai are still a threatening presence, and it is only a matter of time before they break through the divine barrier protecting the town.

Gifted with the Demon Sight, an ability that allows him to see into the ‘Underworld’ where the Kegai lurk, Nini might be humanity’s last best chance of survival. He can’t do it alone, however, and he’ll need to befriend his classmates if he has any hope of fending off this ancient threat.
